well that is nice to know that Mountain CREST is through with football. Is mountain view? don't worry i understood just thought it was funny and that i would point it out to you. right now i am working in Ponta Grossa, 31 de Março. it is a ward. the only thing i don't like is in this ward and the ward that i was in for the past three weeks, they sing really really slow. but maybe i will get used to it. no the ctr ring wasnt for my companion that went home.
well first i will just start with this story that happened yesterday. well we had just finished teaching a members friend that went to church last week, and we were on our way to teach an 86 year old seventh day adventist, who is also a friend of this member and a referral that she gave us. but we will talk about here a little later because as we left her (the member Irmã(sister) Claudete) friends house, we were attacked by a rottweiler. my companion and the members duaghter were both wounded in the attack. the rottweiler wasn't going after me. it just came running out of no where and ran just a little past us. i just barely knicked his shoulder with my foot. and all of the others (my companion, Imrã claudete, and her daughter started to run. so naturally the dog went after them. i had to run and protect them. basically just stand in between them and the dog. he wouldn't attack me just tried to run around me and get to them. but after trying to attack us four times his owner was calling him back. so we just continued on our way. my companion was scratched fairly badly on his arm, to the point that it drew blood, and the members daughter was hit in the stomach. but it wasn't the dog that scratched him or that hit her in the stomach, but it was Irmã Claudete. we laughed quite a bit afterwards and we kept looking back to see if he was coming again. there was no reason for him to attack us., we weren't even close to his house. but don't worry my rottweiler will be a nice dog.
so after this whole incedent we went to the 86 year old adventist´s house. she gave us some pop and cake and we sat and conversed for several minutes. she is a very nice old lady. the we said a prayer and she started to tell a story that wasted forty five minutes of my life. like ammon she began at the creation of the world, and also the creation of Adam, and told us all the things concerning the fall of man, and rehearsed and laid before us the brecords and the holy scriptures of the people, which had been spoken by the prophets. she said a lot of stuff. i was a little frustrated and i was just praying for her to be quiet. because we were late for another lesson. but she didn't she just kept talking and talking and talking just to get to the point that she had a bible bash with the priest because he said that we don't have spirits, and she believes that we do. that was the whole point of everything that she said. the she asked some wierd questions and said some wierd stories that she said are from the bible, but are not. and we had to explain to her that Christ is a literal descendant of King David. but she liked the message and we will return there this saturday.
so unfortunately we didn't have time to go to our other lesson because she took so long. which was unfortunate because he has a baptismal date for this sunday. but we will see if we can teach him tonight.
well my time is running out, have a great week love you all, sherrie mother and nichole go to the gym

10/28/09

well we sent my companion to curitiba last friday and he took a air plane saturday morning to go home. he would not stay. we had our interviews with President Araujo thursday (i enjoyed it. we mostly talked about my companion. but also about the work.) and he talked a while with elder saldanha. but thursday night we got home and he packed his bags. President said that he would call him to see if he was authorized to go home. he was not authorized or President would not send him home. and friday morning he said tchau i am leaving. i talked to him told him to call President he wouldn't. then i called couldn't get a hold of him and called the zone leaders. them and the assistants tried talking to him, but it didn't work he wouldn't stay, he was going to leave with or without permission.

so right now we are working things out. i have been with the zone leaders from friday until now. it has been pretty fun, i like them both a lot. but as of next week i think i will be with two other missionaries. in another area. we tried to get someone who is preparing to serve a mission stay with me for the last two weeks, but it didn't work out. we have been running around a lot. unfortunately i think they will close the area i have been working in.

but on the brighter side, we had the mission (it was only two zones) olympics today. there was stick pull, basketball, volleyball, soccer, chess, and ping pong. i played soccer, we lost it was a reserve team of americans, basketball, we won our team was basically americans, chess, no one was really interested, but i would have won, and the stick pull, i lost in the semi finals, the weight i lost would have come in handy. but it was a lot of fun. i am kind of tired right now. i need more phisical exertion.

i got a letter today from morgan, she wrote it in june. i don't know when it was mailed.

unfortunately they dont celebrate halloween here. but on saturday we have a zone conference with an area seventy. it should be good.

but other than that there is not much to report. hope you are all well. love you all.
